Marcus: "Many blogs are being shut down for uncomfortable thoughts and ideas. We will not do that. Our goal is to protect freedom of speech and your thoughts. As long as you don’t break any Swedish laws in your blog, we will defend it."
Marcus: The Pirate Bay's long history of mocking legal threats gives some substance to the claim.
justin: Man, they rock! "As you may or may not be aware, Sweden is not a state in the United States
of America. Sweden is a country in northern Europe." and "It is the opinion of us and our lawyers that you are ....... morons, and
that you should please go sodomize yourself with retractable batons." and finally... "Go f*ck yourself." - yay!
justin: News update: Police officer Jim Keyzer, the leader and key witness in the Pirate Bay investigation was recently employed by Warner Bros, one of the plaintiffs in the ongoing case against the Pirate Bay four. Undoubtedly, this will seriously hurt the credibility of the ongoing court case. Here.

Marcus: The Pirate Bay is hosting a 3.8GB torrent of every single UK number one since 1952. If you download the 1,103 MP3s it contains you're no better than a common criminal and you should be strung up. I'm warning you.

justin: Here's an idea: we're allowed to listen to these songs for free because radio stations play them and because they pay for licences with advertisers money - songs sell products. So what happens when we buy products because we want them, not because we have just been advertised to? can we have a free listen?

Marcus: PickyPirate: a mashup between Metacritic, Mininova and The Pirate Bay. Discover the highest-rated media currently available for pilfering. Then phone up your local copyright enforcer and demand something be done about it. Obviously. (via)

Marcus: "Sk0t is left with a tough choice. Give in to the evils of the monitoring software, format his hard drive and install Windows - or be barred from using a PC completely."

Marcus: This cunning subliminal ruse hasn't stopped P2P sites like the Pirate Bay (who've rolled out their traditional Google-style celebratory themed logo) from instantly rushing out terrible quality camcorder recordings, of course...

Marcus: The eDonkey 2000 P2P network has been shut down by the RIAA.
Marcus: Not only that, users of eDonkey will apparently find the client trying to uninstall itself (although there are workarounds).
justin: Yeah: eDonkey is just the client - I think the other clients use the same network, plus they use different protocols etc. It's more like BitTorrent than Kazaa really - distributed.
