Gareth: EMI will start allowing the sale of "premium" DRM-less music via the iTunes store and other services soon.

I'm thinking the price difference will probably lead most regular Joes to buying the DRMed stuff, although apparantly the full album prices will be the same.

Higher quality though. Mind you, I have noticed that girls (the only people who buy singles these days) never really care much about audio quality. You ever notice that, you go around a woman's house and they never have a decent stero system? - What's with that?

Lordy, it seems I was wrong about Mr Jobs' disingenuity in that earlier hippy piece of writing that got all the publicity.
Marcus:
And still no word on whether other people (eg indies) who want DRM-free music will have that option or whether you will have to be a big mean record company to sell your music the way you want it.
