This is what I have been waiting for all my life. However, I'd like to posit the idea that my ars* would be just as much a "prototype projector" if it was photographed and then that photograph was edited to look as if volumetric light was shining out of it.

Where is your edited photo of your ars* being a projector then? Perhaps we should have some kind of competition where people think of other amusing objects which could be turned into projectors?
