Marcus: This passed me by: the UK's new 101 phone code for "non emergency" police calls. (Thanks Martyn!)

Appparently it's for stuff like drunk people being rowdy, vandalism and grafitti and "problems with street lighting".
Marcus:
Although the Telegraph reckons it's a big waste of time, and will "end up costing lives".
