Comedy Central has had all its TV show clips removed from YouTube. (via)
Marcus: Goodbye to clips from The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and South Park.
Marcus: In my opinion this is a really stupid and likely damaging move for Comedy Central - a gigantic nose-thumbing to their primary market.
Marcus: These shows are clued-in, irreverent, smart humour vehicles made for intelligent people who also "get" the internet and are increasingly likely to watch their TV through YouTube/P2P/etc rather than an actual TV. Don't piss off your demographic.
justin: Well, "pissing off your demographic" is one thing, but lets face it - offering free shows means your demographic don't have to watch your TV channel nor watch adverts from your sponsors.
justin: Although the advert for keepign them up is compelling as well - I'm so confused.
