And at the other end of the spectrum: why the entertainment industry wants to be able to decide whether or not you deserve access to their product. As Cory Doctorow says, can you imagine a publisher trying to stop you reading a book you bought in America once you got it home to the UK? Well if you thought region coding on DVDs was bad, wait til you get a load of what's planned for us complacent little consumers next...
