Here are some ports of common GNU tools to Windows. This is part of why open source is so awesome - now you can use grep just about anywhere.
gareth: All you have to do is unzip the archive to a directory of your choice, then add the dir to the Windows PATH variable. Alternatively, you could just unzip it to C:\Windows\System32 if you're not worried about organization.
