Marcus: Video: Rob Newman's History of Oil. 45 minutes long, but supposedly very good (and, assuming he keeps up to his Mary Whitehouse Experience form, funny too). (via)
tim:
well judging by his standup performance to a bunch of braying lefties that I saw at the hen and chicken in bristol he's certainly gone off the boil since then. cue plenty of bush-bashing (one of his jokes was to say 'the bush administration' over and over in an increasingly patronising tone while self-important guardian readers chortled into their tofu-crisps).
tim:
if anything it made me want to go out, buy a gun, kill sonmething with it and eat its fear-tainted red meat cooked on the radiator of a '68 gas guzzling all american road-hog, as if more convincing were needed
Dave:
I agree with Tim. I saw him in Norwich and although it was borderline funny, the jokes were all a bit highbrow for me. More Dick joke please Newman.
Marcus:
See that Bush? That's you, that is.
