The BBC has "unveiled radical plans to rebuild its website around user-generated content, including blogs and home videos, with the aim of creating a public service version of MySpace.com."
Marcus: A "public service version of MySpace.com" sounds like a nightmarish dystopian vision to me.
Marcus: But perhaps I'm just old fashioned in wanting my BBC content to be made by, you know, professional people who know what they're doing.
Marcus: Rather than have the BBC aim to make a website that looks like this.
Marcus: That last link is fairly NSFW. And the worst part is, it was literally the first profile I clicked on when I went to MySpace to find an example of what I didn't want the BBC to look like.
Marcus: As opposed to finding it on, say, Something Awful. Which is where the entirety of My Space belongs.
